On a backwater agricultural world, largely forgotten, few ships land or leave, and often when they do they spell trouble.
Urilon was once a functional modern world, that the ravages of time, earlier succession wars, and bandit raids have ground down to little more than a world dotted with small farming communities filled with people who eschew modern technology (in a modern context they are like The amish, old quakers and mennonites), a few scavenger communities that scavenge from the remains of the old ruined cities, and a couple of small cities with largely inactive space ports and a poorly equipped and maintained planetary defense force.
Hypergee is a small fortress run by a religious order known as Comstar, the Word of Blake, or the Blakeites, depending on who you talk to. Their priests rarely leave far from the confines of the fortress, but work with the small town built up around it walls and the farming communities near by. Inside its walls is a space port and the hyper pulse generator. Hypergee has its own security force but they are rarely activated unless something threatens its own walls.
Relic is a small walled city of a couple hundred thousand, and includes the bulk of the planetary defense force, local law enforcement, small factories, recycling centers, shops, open air markets and living domiciles. Power of largely generated through solar panels and an old coal burning power plant. Relic trades with the near by farming communities through labor on the farms during harvest and planting, protection, medical supplies (when they have a surplus), and raw materials for forging tools, which are gathered by scavenging the old cities ruins.
